Nelson - 50th

The children of Robert "Bob" and Linda Kay (Cox) Nelson wish to extend an invitation to all friends and relatives to an open house in observance of their parents' 50th wedding anniversary.

Bob and Linda were married in Jamestown on Jan. 28, 1961. They have lived near Russellville since 1963 and are members of the Russellville Community Church.

They are parents of Debbie (Bill) Ireland of Crawfordsville, Sheri (Terry) Franklin of Roachdale, Dan (Melanie) Nelson of Williamsport and David (Jennifer) Nelson of Russellville.

A son, Gary Nelson, is deceased.

They have 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Bob is a retired custodian from North Putnam High School and had previously been employed at Bainbridge Feed & Grain and was a timber cutter. He is presently employed as a custodian for the Russellville Community Church.

Linda is employed by Greencastle Schools as food service director and had worked at North Putnam Schools in the same capacity. She also spent 28 years cooking for the 4-H Clubs that attended camp at Shakamack State Park.

The open house will be held on Jan. 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Russellville Community Center.

The family requests no gifts.
