Mildred L. "Middy" Marlatt

Mildred L. "Middy" Marlatt, 79, passed away Jan. 26, 2011 at 5:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born on July 31, 1931 in Mulberry to Bruce and Oora (Cooley) Coyner.

Mrs. Marlatt was a 1950 graduate of Mulberry High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident. She was a farmwife and also worked at National Seal for 26 years. A member of the Antioch Christian Church, she was active in the Scircle Group at the church. She was an artist, a member of the Clinton County Art League and loved to paint.

She married Rex W. Marlatt on Sept. 5, 1950 at the Mulberry Methodist Church and he survives. She is also survived by her son Michael W. Marlatt (Brenda) of Greencastle; daughter Sue Ann Stinson (Rob) of Frankfort; grandchildren Seth Marlatt (Cassandra) of Churubusco, Nikki Julian (Jeremiah) of Lafayette, and Kody Stinson of Crawfordsville and great granddaughter Sidney Julian.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; Dee, Cy and Bob Coyner and sister Martha Bloyd.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
