Beaty's wife arrested
FILLMORE -- Indiana State Police Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division at the Putnamville Post have made additional arrests in the child molestation case involving Brian J. Beaty, 47, of Fillmore.
Genny L. Beaty, 36, wife of Brian Beaty, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday for her involvement in the alleged molestation of two teenage female relatives.
Genny Beaty has been charged in Putnam Circuit Court with two counts of neglect of a dependent, both Class D Felonies and one count of false informing, a Class B misdemeanor. She was incarcerated in the Putnam County Jail.
State police detectives from the Putnamville Post served a Putnam County Circuit Court search warrant at the Beaty home Tuesday morning. Detectives recovered several items of evidence they believe is part of the molestation investigation. Those items were seized and submitted into the evidence system of the Indiana State Police.
Genny Beaty was arrested on warrant from Putnam Circuit Court during the execution of the search warrant.
Additional charges have been filed against Brian Beaty. He is now charged with 11 felony counts. Those are two counts of child molesting, Class A felony; five counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, Class B felony; two counts of child molesting, Class C felony; and two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, Class C felony.
Brian Beaty was originally arrested on Feb. 18 for the alleged molestation of two teenage female relatives during the last three years at his home. During that time, he was alleged to have performed various sexual acts on the teenagers as well as having them perform various sexual acts on him.
Indiana State Police Detectives Sergeant Troy Stanton, Detective Sam Stearley and Detective Chris Carter investigated the case. The Putnam County Prosecutor's Office and the Putnam County Department of Child Services assisted them.
