'Charlotte's Web' to take the stage at Cloverdale High School

The Cloverdale High School Drama Club will present the classic tale "Charlotte Web" Friday and Saturday.

The play, adapted for stage by Joseph Robinette, will begin each evening at 7 p.m. The E.B. White classic is a story of true friendship between Charlotte, a spider, and Wilbur the pig. Hannah Ramey and Chauncey Baker portray the lead characters respectively.

Supporting characters in the story include: Fern, a very imaginative young lady (Chelsea Leach); her brother, Avery (Noah Ehmen); their parents, John and Martha Arable (Robert Henline and Brittany Wallace), and Templeton, the rat (Shanna Schumutte).

Other characters in the show include Homer and Edith Zuckerman (Robert St. John and Kayla Coffey), Lurvy the farmhand (Miranda Tate) and three narrators who guide the audience through the story (Taylor Ehmen, Jenna McHugh and Elizabeth Wardlow).

Remaining members of the cast include Ariel Immel, Rachel Short, Ashley Grove, Krysom Noel, Amelia Nicholson, Tatiana Camacho, Makayla Moore and Holly McCammon.

The technical crew consists of stage manager/light operator Cody Atwood and crew members Victoria Boyette and Lisha Hunsicker. The play is under the direction of Brad Sandy.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students with children pre-school and under admitted free.
