GMS wins county wrestling title

CLOVERDALE -- At the Putnam County middle school wrestling championship Wednesday, Greencastle was declared the winners, with South Putnam finishing second. Cloverdale was third and North Putnam was fourth on the day.

Winning for the Tiger Cubs was Troy Wardlow (70), Trae Carrington (85), Chris Hinton (95), Nathan Tesmer (140), Brayden White (165) and Jake Mundy (heavy weight).

Keifer Vittetow (80), Jonah Sanders (90), Collin Berry (100), Andrew Ballard (105), Zane Crosby (115), Bradley Ballard (155) and Joey Masters (220) recorded wins for South Putnam.

Cloverdale had five winners on the day. Winning for the Clovers was Jacob Boldman (80), Max Secrest (110), Jacob Waycott (120), Colton Wilkes (125) and Bill Petrosky (180).

Matt Malone (130) and Travis Brandenburg (145) won individual honors for North Putnam.
