Colleen B. Parker

Colleen B. Parker, 89, Cloverdale, passed away on March 20, 2011 at The Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle. She was born on June 1, 1921 in Hendricks County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Mamie L. (Dobbins) Bockius.

She was married to Walter Harrison Parker on Nov. 21, 1939 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1977. She was a homemaker, member of the Cloverdale United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Hurst-Collins Post 281, Cloverdale, O. E. S. # 369, Cloverdale and the Thursday Club.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Danna Bishop and husband Bill, Denise Oxford and husband Kevin, Mindy Shedron and husband Tod, Greg Parker and wife Susan and Billy Joe Walton and wife Beth and daughter-in-law, Vicki Parker.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Daniel Parker and Bruce Parker.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. John Nees officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
