Meet more of the Putnam County dancing stars

Jeramy Sheldon is the alternate fuels process operator at Buzzi Unicem. His hobbies include men's league and coed softball. He has also coached little league baseball.

He has no dance experience, but decided to go for it when his partner begged him to and he couldn't say no.

"I hope to raise money for Putnam County youth and overcome my fear of performance in front of a large audience," Sheldon said.

Bobby D. Hopper

Bobby Hopper is the general manager of the Greencastle McDonald's. He is married to Cami Hopper, a second grade teacher at Deer Meadow Primary School. Their children are Tyler, 10, a fourth grader, and Lauren Hopper, 8, a second grader.

His hobbies include hiking, jogging with his son, reading and vacationing with his family. His community activities include the Friends of Camp Friend board, PCYDC board, Mental Health America board, treasurer for local Boy Scouts and a minister at Lifebuilder Community Church.

Hopper said he has "no dance experience at all," but hopes to raise money for PCYDC.

"I hope to gain friends and memories that will last a lifetime," Hopper said.

Cindy Hennette

Cindy Hennette

Cindy Hennette is a pediatric dental hygienist. She is married to Dr. John Hennette, and they have two children, Kelsey and J.T. Her hobbies include water skiing and freestyle dancing.

She is involved in dental health programs, the Greencastle High School booster club and substitute teaching. She has coached basketball, soccer and cheerleading. She is a member of Tri Kappa and is an advisor for DePauw Pi Beta Phi.

She began taking dance lessons last year as a gift for her husband.

Hennette said she hopes to form new friendships, "gain some confidence (and maybe a little grace and elegance too)" and some new dance moves.

Charlene Shrewsbury

Charlene Shrewsbury is a police officer with DePauw University Public Safety. She and husband Chris have four children, Hayden, Quincy, Tiana and Sydney.

Her hobbies include reading, spending time with family and dancing, at which she has some experience.

She is involved with National Night Out, Girl Scouts and was previously the Greencastle High School Dance Team coach.

"It's a really good cause and a wonderful opportunity to give back to my community," Shrewsbury said. "I hope to meet new people and develop long lasting friendships
