Freada McMahel

Freada McMahel, 80, Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Plainfield Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 30, 1930 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Flossie (Keck) McMahel.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kelly Sears of Avon, Lance and Teresa Sears of Brazil and Dan and Paula Sears of Cypress, Texas; sisters and brother-in-law Lucille and John Gelsosomo of Flossmoor, Ill., and Doris Wright of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Hollie Sears-Mendenhall, Ashley Sears-Flanagan, Dustin Sears, John Sears, Samantha Sears and Tabitha Havlin; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jacob Mendenhall.

Preceding her in death were her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Tom Tharp, brother Albert McMahel and brother-in-law Robert Wright.

Freada enjoyed playing euchre and fishing. She was also a member of the Eagles Lodge in Greencastle.

The memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bainbridge Community Center. Arrangements are being handled by Bell Mortuary and Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel, Indianapolis.
