The 2011 Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce golf scramble is slated for May 13 at Old Hickory Golf Club. Sponsors include, from left, Michael Clampitt of North Salem State Bank, Mike Murphy of HMSB Insurance, Steve Michael of York Automotive, Chamber Executive Director Tammy Amor, Beth Flint of Old National Bank, Michelle Faison of the Inn at DePauw, Chamber President Amber Bowers, Chrissy Baker of ETA International, Josh Miley of Monarch Beverage and Sharon Bone of Ivy Tech.

The 21st annual Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce golf scramble is set for Friday, May 13 at Old Hickory Golf Club.

The day begins with registration and lunch sponsored by Walmart Distribution Center at 10:30 a.m. The scramble itself begins with a shotgun start at noon. The 19th hole business after hours sponsored by Old National Bank runs from 5-7 p.m.

Cost is $55 per player and includes golf, cart, lunch, snacks, drinks and a gift bag.

There are two hole-in-one sponsors this year, with North Salem State Bank and HMSB Insurance giving away $10,000 for an ace on No. 9, and York Automotive giving away a 2011 Buick Regal on No. 2.

The business after hours also includes the Chamber Ball Drop. Anyone interested may purchase two golf balls for $5 or five balls for $10 for a chance to win half the proceeds of the ball sales.

All balls sold will be dropped from the bucket of a Greencastle fire truck onto the No. 1 green. The first ball into the hole or the ball closest to the hole wins.

Golf balls may be purchased from now until tee-off on May 13 by calling the Chamber at 653-4517 or by e-mailing gchamber@gogreencastle.com.

Scramble trophies and prizes sponsored by Taylor-Made Awards will go to the top three teams. Beverages are sponsored by Monarch Beverage, free afternoon snacks are sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College and gift bags are courtesy of Cunningham Insurance.

Hole sponsorship fees are $100 (including a professional sign) or $50 if sign is provided. Scoreboard sponsorship is $100, and skilled hole sponsorship is $35.

Registration and payment should be sent to the Chamber of Commerce, 16 S. Jackson St., Greencastle, IN 46135, by Friday.
