Tiger Cubs sweep Eagles

For the second time in as many days, the Greencastle baseball team defeated South Putnam. The Tiger Cubs defeated the Eagles 9-1 Tuesday.

Jesse Vermillion tossed a complete game, allowing three hits while striking out seven. Tanner Parker and Landon Miller were 3-for-4 and Keegan Remsburg was 2-for-4.

On Monday, Greencastle connected on nine home runs en route to its 32-0 win over South Putnam. Vermillion and Remsburg slammed two each and the duo also combined for eight RBIs in the win. Also hitting home runs were Nataniel Velasquez, Ryan Pettit, Andy Bell, Alex Pettit and Miller.

Greencastle will travel to Edgewood Thursday at 5 p.m., while South Putnam will travel to Owen Valley Thursday at 5 p.m.
