Peace Lutheran hosts mothers' tea

Peace Lutheran School students sing a special song for the mothers at the school's annual mothers' tea.

The children of Peace Lutheran School honored their mothers at the school's annual mothers' tea on Friday, May 6.

Each child presented his or her mother with a special handmade gift while enjoying a delicious brunch of cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit.

The mothers were then entertained by special performances by their children. Preschool and kindergarten students impressed the audience with their song "If I Were a Butterfly," which required memorization of several verses and hand motions to match the lyrics. First through sixth grade students showed off the Spanish language skills they have been learning in school by singing and dancing to several Spanish songs.

Peace Lutheran School is an outreach mission of Peace Lutheran Church. The school was founded in 1984 as a preschool and now offers classes for ages preschool through sixth grade.

For enrollment information, contact the school at 653-6995.
