Enumerating historic aspects of the Paul and Maggie Champion house at 311 W. Walnut St., Greencastle, Purdue University landscape/architect professor Gregory Pierceall (right) and protégé Scott Peters tour the Old Greencastle neighborhood, one of three newly designated historic districts in town. Peters will be a guest speaker Saturday at a seminar sponsored by the Heritage Preservation Society at the Putnam County Museum. Peters will be part of the morning session, which begins at 8:30 a.m. Cost of the full-day seminar has been reduced to $28; the morning session alone is $20 (reservations can be made by calling 522-1430). Stephanie Sheldon of Shrubworks will also conduct part of the program, including creation of a container planting that has a retail value of more than $30. The afternoon session, featuring Joe Everhart of Sycamore Group and Phil Gick with a power-point presentation of the Sunny Hill restoration process, costs $8.
