Eagles defeated Patriots 4-0 in regular season finale

The South Putnam softball team defeated Terre Haute North 4-0 Thursday.

Brooke Boetjer pitched a complete game, allowing three hits and recording nine strikeouts. She was also 1-for-1 at the plate with a run scored.

Kelsey Whitaker went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored, while Jenna Jones was 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Emily Dabkowski chipped in a triple and a run scored.

The Eagles only senior, Megan Barnes, had two RBIs on senior night.

South Putnam ended its regular season with a record of 12-1 and will play Tri-West in the Tri-West Sectional Tuesday at 7 p.m.
