Indianapolis Colts' Fan Fest to stop in Greencastle on June 21

Saturday, May 28, 2011

The Indianapolis Colts will visit Greencastle and 22 other Hoosier locations during their 2011 Fan Fest and Make It Personal Tour this summer.

The 42-foot-long Colts In Motion trailer will be on the Putnam County courthouse square from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 21. The Greencastle stop will also feature live music, the Colts said in announcing that the tour will kick off Wednesday, June 1 at the Avon AAA.

Summer Tour elements include meet-and-greets with Colts alumni players and cheerleaders.

The Colts In Motion trailer is the centerpiece in the Colts' regional outreach marketing effort. Colts In Motion is equipped with interactive videos, touch screens, a quarterback challenge football toss, Lucas Oil Stadium features and a behind-the-scenes look at the entire Indianapolis Colts organization.

At the Greencastle stop, fans may also register for one of the Colts Official Fan Clubs, register to win Colts tickets, test their abilities on a rock climbing wall, attempt to catch an NFL punt from a Jugs machine, pick-up free Colts giveaways, play on the Colts interactive inflatables and experience the newly renovated Colts In Motion, the team's traveling museum.

The 2011 Summer Tour schedule marks the eighth consecutive year the Indianapolis Colts have hosted a traveling marketing campaign featuring alumni players and cheerleaders. The Summer Tours will continue across Indiana with 23 total tour stops through July 22.

"We provide hundreds of free events for our fans every year. Colts Fan Fests and the Make It Personal Tour is our way of giving back to our fans and to thank them for their continued support. We want our fans all across the state to be able to touch the Colts franchise in their own backyards," Tom Zupancic, Indianapolis Colts vice president of sales and marketing, said.

The Colts encourage all fans to arrive early. The line for player and cheerleader autographs may be cut off at any time to ensure the tour remains on schedule. Inclement weather or traffic may cause for late arrival or early departure. All Summer Tour stops will take place rain or shine.

Colts players' names will not be announced prior to their arrival in each city. Fans will be allowed one autograph per person; however, fans may get back in line for additional autographs.

Colts Fan Fests and Make It Personal Tour stops are sponsored by the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance, American Family Insurance and Harrison College.
