Chairish the Children huge success

To the Editor:

Family Support Services held their first annual Chairish the Children Event and Silent Auction on May 20.

The event was a huge success! Family Support Services would like to thank the following individuals, businesses, and groups for taking the time to decorate the chairs that were auctioned: Greencastle Civic League, Delta Theta Tau, Pat Denny, Pam Gillman, Sue Blake, Glenna Cheesman, Putnam County Hospital, Putnam County Sheriff's Department, Putnam County Head Start, Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau, Helmer Appraisal Inc., Putnam County Comprehensive Services, Putnam County Humane Society, Putnam County Museum and the Northern Lights Homemakers Club.

Also, without the donations and support from the following businesses and groups, the Chairish the Children Event and Silent Auction would not have been possible: Selvia Rentals/Greg and Trudy Selvia, The Fret Set, Putnam County Community Foundation, Putnam County Convention & Visitor Bureau, Aaron's Rental, Rent A Center, Old National Trail/Life Skills Class, Putnam County Community Corrections/GRASP, and Ambler Hill Florist.

Family Support Services extends a very special thanks to all of the community members who attended the event. It is because of this community's commitment to the families and children of Putnam County that Family Support Services has been in existence for 32 years.

We look forward to hosting another successful event next year. Hope to see you in attendance.
