Navajo jewelry artist to give presentation at Gobin Church

Monday, June 20, 2011

On Thursday, June 23 at 7 p.m., Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church in Greencastle will host Eddie Begay, a nationally renowned Navajo jewelry artist.

Begay's work has been selected as "Best of Show" at the annual Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market in recent years.

He will be making a presentation in the sanctuary during which he will describe his creative process, and share how to identify authentic Native American jewelry.

Following the presentation a light dessert and coffee/beverages will be served, and Begay will have jewelry for sale.

Tickets to the event can be purchased in advance for $10 with proceeds supporting Gobin's ministry and mission. Persons may call the church office for tickets or to RSVP at 658-6003.
