Judith Custis

Judith Custis, 75, of Greencastle passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1935 in Beech Grove to Fayne Cummings and Thelma Vaughn Cummings.

Mrs. Custis was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Belle Union.

Surviving are her mother, Thelma Sloan; children Rita Bain and husband Don of Reelsville, Lisa Rader and husband Carl of Terre Haute, Douglas Custis of Greencastle and Fayne Custis and wife Charlene of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; a sister, Ann Mowery and husband Bob of Linton; five granddaughters, Angie Edwards and husband Chris, Melissa Anderson, Hope Custis, Valarie Bartrom and husband Phil and Hilarie Pistilli and husband Patrick; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Fayne Cummings, husband Harry W. Custis and her stepfather Earl Sloan.

Funeral services will be held on at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11-1 P.M. at the funeral home.
