City Police

Ten recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 8:01 p.m. Monday, Richard D. Huber, 55, Greencastle, was arrested on Gillespie Street by Officer Matt Huffman. Huber was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on two counts of battery.

-- At 2:11 a.m. Monday, A. J. Monnett, 27, Greencastle, was arrested at the Walmart store on Indianapolis Road by Capt. Charles Inman. Monnett was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a pair of Putnam County warrants.

-- At 12:52 a.m. Monday, Eric Brian Johnson, 27, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Nick Eastham for public intoxication and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with prior offense.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Johnson registered .12 percent blood-alcohol content under testing.

A passenger in the Johnson vehicle, Kimberlie Neal, 37, Greencastle, was also arrested and lodged in the PCJ. She was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

-- At 4:09 a.m. Saturday, two people were arrested on alcohol-related charges at Country Place Apartments on Wood Haven Drive.

Adriana Nicole Corder, 22, Poland, was arrested by Officer Huffman and Reserve Officer David Clodfelter on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

At the same time, Joshua Ratliff, 19, Cloverdale, was cited for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

-- At 3:42 a.m. Saturday, Officer Eric Vaughan was called to Judson Court to investigate a reported disturbance.

He arrested Carey D. Stapert, 37, Greencastle, and Mark Sadler, 32, Fillmore, lodging them in the Putnam County Jail. Stapert was charged with public intoxication and battery, while Sadler was charged with public intoxication.

-- At 1:42 p.m. Friday, Andrea L. Jones, 19, Greencastle, was arrested by Sgt. Chris Jones and lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Jones was charged with theft for allegedly taking prescription medication out of another woman's purse at Old Topper's restaurant on South Main Street.

-- At 1:05 p.m. Thursday, Larry Myers, 51, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Jeff Modlin for allegedly striking a person with his fist on Avenue D. Myers was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a charge of battery.

Meanwhile, three female juveniles are facing theft charges after an incident at the Greencastle Walmart store at 6:52 p.m. Saturday.

A 16-year-old Clover-dale girl and 17-year-olds from Poland and Indianapolis were apprehended after taking an estimated $265 worth of hair and beauty products and men's T-shirts.

They reportedly put the items in bags already in their possession, went through check-out, paid for a couple of grocery items and left the store.

Three recent traffic citations were issued by city officers.

-- At 2:47 a.m. Tuesday, Hammam Nour, 27, West Lafayette, was ticketed by Officer Eastham for 54 mph in a 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street.

-- 1:55 p.m. Friday, Goldia Walther, 79, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Albert Epple for driving left of center on Bloomington Street.

-- At 11:55 p.m. Thursday, Alisha Stacy, 24, Indianapolis, was ticketed on Bloomington Street by Officer Huffman for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.
