Ernest A. Hill

Ernest A. Hill, 92, Greencastle, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

He was born June 3, 1919 in Greencastle, the son of Robert and Ida Harris Hill.

He worked at IBM as a maintenance technician and had worked at Lone Star Trucking. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Elks and Greencastle American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Hazel Elliott Hill; grandson Collin Hill and wife Karla of Noblesville; nine great-grandchildren; brother Paul Hill of Arizona; and sister Billie Vaughn of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by a son Greg E. Hill, five brothers and one sister.

Family services will be held with entombment in Pine Lawn Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
