Eagles shoot 197 at Crawfordsville

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The South Putnam girls' golf team took on North Montgomery and Crawfordsville at Rocky Ridge Golf Course Thursday. The Chargers won with a score of 171, with South Putnam finishing second with 197 and Crawfordsville was third with a 209.

Leading South Putnam were Jesse McKean and Kyndra Boyce with a pair of 48s, with Madison Cash shooting a 49 and and Caitlyn Boyce a 52 for the Eagles.

"(It was) a great round from the girls," head coach Brian McClure said. "I am very pleased with the improvement we are seeing from match to match. A few of the girls got off to a rough start and pulled it together mid-round. That is what you love to see as a coach."

South Putnam will travel to Clover Meadows to battle the Clovers Monday at 4:30 p.m.
