Elizabeth Green

Elizabeth Green, 98, of Coatesville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at Hickory Creek at Sunset.

Elizabeth was born March 22, 1913 in Roane County, Tenn., to James and Eliza (Crabtree) Pierce.

On Oct. 5. 1940, she married Ernest "Jiggs" Green, who preceded her in death in June 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda S. (Roe) Wrede, Cloverdale; granddaughter Sheryl A. (Matt) Davis, Romney, Ind., and grandson Chris A. (Jennifer) Wrede, Terre Haute; three great-grandchildren, Brett Davis and Micah Davis, Romney, and Ava Wrede, Terre Haute, and a sister, Sudie Ford, Rockwood, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Cleo Bryant and Addie Lou Pierce, and brother Robert Pierce.

Elizabeth was an excellent seamstress and made many beautiful quilts which she gave to family members on special occasions in their lives.

Elizabeth was a member of the Coatesville Christian Church, and later in life had attended Eminence Baptist Church with her family.

Services are being conducted by Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17. Pastor Sonny Ooley will officiate funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.
