  • How can we help? We do not know what the suspicious crime is about. More info will help!

  • The elderly lady was my Grandmother. Please help them find who did this...

  • My thoughts are with the family of the injured.

Should we be looking for people suddenly flush with money, sporting new jewelry they can't possibly afford, or suddenly medically altered or having 'spare pills' without a prescription of their own?

  • Thats just sad. I think Autumn Glen Should be a gated community, their are so many elderly residents living alone there.

  • Thoughts and prayers for the victim. But, really, what kind of headline is this? Why put suspicious crime in quotes? Are there unsuspicious crimes?

  • I understand the right to individual's privacy, but when a crazed person is on the loose being discrete is not conducive to solving crime. Praying for recovery and justice.

  • Were the other nursing facilities in the area notified? Along with the schools to keep the children safe, the other health care facilities should be informed to keep the their elderly residents safe.

  • Without any other information, I am only commenting on what the "facts" seem to be by the comments and I am so sad for the victim and the community. I grew up in Putnam county and recently moved out. I was telling my husband that I feel so unsafe bc I was used to being in a small "safe" community....SO it was during one of those rants that it occurred to me that my "small" big town has had one murder in over two years (it was a family member- family member) and Greencastle has now how many? I am just so sad that drugs, violence, and theft is starting to be a norm for the little town I held dear. When will this all end?

  • I grew up in Greencastle and moved away to better myself in 2003 or so. It is hard for me to believe that it has gotten this out of control since then. To Troybb21, I am truly sorry about your Grandmother. I am sure this little punk, who had to(no offense Troy) choose someone weaker than him, will get caught. I am sure that he is just a weak minded, adolescent with a grudge against his mother and doesn't have the cojones to deal with it. Or he some washed up Meth-head who is probably about to die from drugs. Either way my friend, justice will be served. Weak people make me sick. Life is hard for everyone, the only difference is, is that us strong ones suck it up and go on.

  • Its tragic, how can anyone live with what they have done to this little Old lady who was wheelchair bound? What kind of non-person could do this to someone? I hear that maybe they should look really hard at the family of this poor soul. Just saying........

  • WTH is going on is this town ? I also grew up here and it has never been this bad. I think maybe we should start up some kind of crime watch's in the area's that we live in or something...I no one thing for sure I have video surveillance and a shot gun AND I do no how to use it..Might not be the answer but Ill do what I have to do to keep my family safe. And in the mean time maybe we should have some police on foot or bikes roaming around the housing districts. God please help our small town and be with this family in their time of need...

  • I live in a mobile home community here in Greencastle-we look out for our neighbors and so do the managers of this nice peaceful-clean community-we had an incident not long ago-everyone stuck together and the issue was taken care of. I feel safe here -so everyone in all neighborhoods should do as we do. I have lived here 8 years-I know people don't have a good attitude about mobile home living and rules-but .rules are for a reason-I can't live in a nicer place reasonable as I do here and feel safe.

  • You know, a couple of times of hanging these people up on the courthouse lawn and this all would straighten up. What a senseless crime. I hope they find these people and they never see the light of the outside world, again.
