GHS finishes behind Knights in tri-match

BRAZIL -- The Greencastle girls' golf team placed second in a tri-match Thursday at Northview. The Knight won with a total of 179, followed by GHS with 194, while Crawfordsville fielded an incomplete team.

Katie Hedge led the Tiger Cubs with a medalist round of 39. She was followed by Jessie Bennett with 46, Kenzie St. Marie with a 51 and Lauren Bridgewater with 58. Liz Johnson shot a 60 and Kourtnee Vickery shot a 61.

"Katie played really well today, tying her personal best," GHS head coach Brad Kingma said. "She'd been in a little rut, so this should give her confidence on the sectional course. Having her play consistently with what Jessie has been doing at the top is key for us."
