Two Greencastle women were arrested on theft charges Thursday afternoon at the Wal-Mart store on the city's East Side.

Christina Williams, 28, Greencastle, is facing charges of theft and violation of probation after a 3:53 p.m. incident at Wal-Mart, GPD Officer Darrel Bunten reported.

Authorities said Williams reportedly took $161.61 worth of miscellaneous items, concealing them in her purse and down her pants.

At the same time and location, Teresa Wallace, 49, Greencastle, was accused of theft for reportedly taking $78.99 worth of miscellaneous items, including toddler outfits and shoes.

Wallace concealed the items in her purse, Bunten reported.

Individuals listed in the blotter have been arrested on probable cause and have not been formally charged. Charging information may change after an initial arrest.
