Befriending the pantry

Representatives of the sponsoring businesses and organizations of Friendship Day present the food collected in exchange for a dozen roses to the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. On hand for the donation were (from left) Josh Richardson, First National Bank; Tammy Amor, Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce; Sandy McCloud, Eitel's Flowers; Lora Zoll, Ivy Tech; Therese Cunningham, State Farm Insurance; Candy Williams, Cinergy Metronet; Judy Miller, Food Pantry director and board president; Trei Barnett, Asbury Towers; Scott Herrick, Bittles and Hurt/Hopkins-Rector funeral homes; Kasey Neeley, Teachers Credit Union; and Betty McBride and Mavis Broadstreet, Food Pantry volunteers. Kneeling is Frances Washburne, Food Pantry volunteer. The Food Pantry is open 9 a.m. to noon Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the old Skate Place building (first door on the left) at 620 Tennessee St., Greencastle.
