17th Walk for Life event raises $8,390

To The Editor:

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Putnam County held its 17th annual Walk for Life on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Big Walnut Sports Park.

Twenty-four sponsored walkers from nine local churches met that morning to walk two miles and raised $8,390 to benefit the ministry of Care Net.

I would like to thank our walkers: Alice DeHoff, Dennis Staley, Debbie Leonard, Mike Faust, Lori Miller, Beth Evans, Ric McFadden, Cathy McCall, Anita and Peter Urban, Susan Price, Sharon Skinner, Kellie Palmer, Jeri Ross, Ashley Ross, Cathy Campbell, Danielle Harris, Patti Campbell, Jennifer Kennedy, Catherine Miller, Stacey Plamondon, Adam Amos, Jennifer Nash and Beth Fajt.

I would also like to thank the churches that were represented at the walk: Abundant Life Baptist Church, Alaska Christian Church, Fillmore Christian Church, Greencastle Christian Church, Putnamville Baptist Church, St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, The StoreHouse and Wellspring Christian Church.
