Lung cancer presentation to be held Oct. 17

In 2009, 25 percent of Putnam County Hospital's Cancer Center patients treated were battling lung cancer.

On Monday, Oct. 17, the Cancer Center in conjunction with the Putnam County Chaplaincy Board has invited Dr. Frank Workman, oncologist, to discuss lung cancer in our local area.

The presentation will include information on the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, support available for patients and family members and prevention of the disease.

The presentation will take place in the hospital classrooms on the third floor from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Local healthcare providers and area clergy are encouraged to attend. A complimentary lunch will be provided for those who register.
