Christine Louise Lowry

Christine Louise Lowry, 81, Cloverdale, passed away on Sunday, Oct.16, 2011 at Washington Healthcare, Indianapolis.

She was born on Jan. 20, 1930 in Wayne County, Ind., and was the daughter of Edward L. and Regent C. (Moore) Rosser.

She was married to Clifford R. Lowry on Oct. 6, 1981, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2011.

She was a member of the Putnamville Baptist Church and had been a housemother for Delta Chi fraternity at DePauw University.

She was retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Taylor and husband Albert,

Arlington, Ind.; her son, Steven Straub and wife Debbie, Indianapolis; her sisters, Charlotte Rosser, California, Joan Bogdan, California, and Erma Knoll and husband Frank, Greenwood; her brother, Joe Rosser, Arizona; her grandchildren, Stefanie Straub Tetmeyer and husband Will, Indianapolis, Sabrina Straub Harting and husband William, Speedway, and

Michael Brown; and her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rosser, Richmond.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tina Brown, her sister, Dorothy Straub, and her brothers, George Rosser, Robert Rosser and Richard Rosser.
