Lillian Jean Campbell, 84, Indianapolis formerly of Eminence, passed away on Nov. 2, 2011 at Indianapolis.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1926 in Herrin, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Ben Herman and Erla Estelle (Whiteside) Compton.

She was married to Marvin Richard Campbell on June 20, 1942, and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2000.

She was a loving mother, aunt, friend and prayer warier.

She is survived by her sons, Marvin R. "Rick" Campbell and wife Judith Ann, Indianapolis, and Charles Campbell, Martinsville; her grandchildren, Geaneann Tracy, Brownsburg, Bonnie Jean Campbell, Tampa, Fla., Clark Ray Campbell II, Los Angeles, Jonathan Campbell, Mooresville, and Tamera Scates, Indianapolis; her great-grandchildren, Molly Tracy and Alex Scates, both of Brownsburg, Nathan Scates, Jessica Scates, and Russell Rogers, all of Indianapolis; her great-great-grandchild, Natalie Rogers, Indianapolis; and her daughter-in-law, Pamela Siddons, Mooresville.

She was a member of the Cloverdale Church of the Nazarene, Red Hat Society and was a graduate of Eminence High School.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 5 from noon until service time at the funeral home.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clark Ray Campbell; her sisters, Fern Walker, Doyne Martin and Beulah Risinger; her brothers, Troy Compton and Tracy Compton; and her daughter-in-law, Renee Campbell.
