Full moon owl hike at McCloud

Thursday, November 3, 2011

McCloud Nature Park will host an evening of family fun and learning on Saturday, Nov. 12 with a 6:30 p.m. presentation on the several species of owls that make the park their home.

While owls are rarely seen at McCloud, they are often heard. At the conclusion of our program participants will head out for an evening stroll under the full moon and attempt to engage them in conversation.

The adventure is sure to be a hoot.

This is a free program. McCloud Nature Park is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation and located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 North Hughes Road.

Admission is always free and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily.

The Nature Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
