CLOVERDALE -- "Just Dessert," a community variety show staged for Saturday, Dec. 3 in the cafetorium at Cloverdale High School, is not only designed for holiday fun but to help less-fortunate families in the Cloverdale School Corporation as well.

Funds raised by the 12th annual entertainment event this Saturday will go to the Cloverdale Community Clothe-a-Child effort.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday at CHS with the curtain going up on the variety show at 7.

Admission is by donation basis. In addition to the entertainment, the evening will include one dessert and unlimited beverages served at your table.

Funds donated to the tip jars placed at each table will go to the Clothe-a-Child Fund. A silent auction and more will also help raise funds.

Businesses and individuals have been asked to sponsor tables by donating a minimum of $50 per table of eight or a minimum of $25 for a table of six.

Monetary donations can also be made to the Cloverdale Clothe-a-Child Fund through First National Bank of Cloverdale, Attn: Becky Mannan.

A companion fundraiser is also scheduled Saturday when the third annual Arts and Crafts Show unfolds beginning at 9 a.m. in the auxiliary gym at Cloverdale High School. The arts and crafts show is scheduled until 3 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to make an appearance at the craft show from 9-10 a.m.

Persons can participate in Zumba fitness on a donation basis from 10:30 a.m. until noon with certified instructors Tara Gardner and Lita Sandy. Dance Workshop will also introduce Zumbatomic for children ages 5-11 with instructor Nikki Gilbert.

Those who would like to participate as performers, vendors or organizations in either of the events may contact Lita Sandy at 795-3560 or Jennifer Walters at 795-4339.
