Cloverdale gets big win over Turkey Run, 50-22

MARSHALL -- The Cloverdale girls' basketball team defeated Turkey Run in dominating fashion, 50-22, Tuesday.

Cloverdale saw 10 players get in the scoring book on the night, led by Bailee Stevens and Paige Gruener with 10 points each. Katie Fulkerson added eight points, with Amillia Nally adding five points. Katie Walters chipped in four points.

Paige Sinks, Sydney Shrum, Justeena Wellington and Bristy Skiles all scored three points each. Taylor Clark contributed one point in the win.

"I was very pleased our girls' effort tonight," CHS head coach Matthew Langdon said. "We have struggled to put points on the board all year and it was nice to see some girls step up in the scoring column. We hope we can use this game to continue to improve."

Nally led team with 14 rebounds, with Shrum adding nine. Stevens, Gruener, Nally and Skiles each had three steals.

Cloverdale will travel to Monrovia Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.
