Sheriff's Dept. investigating possible breaking and entering

Friday, December 16, 2011

Few details were available Thursday evening on a possible breaking and entering south of Limedale.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department responded to a Thursday afternoon call at 3541 S. CR 200 West (Manhattan Road). Dispatch reported a resident had come home to an intruder still in the house.

Although the Sheriff's Department provided no details beyond a possible breaking and entering, according to police radio dispatches, the resident was injured in the incident.

There were further unconfirmed reports of a suspect fleeing on foot.

The Banner Graphic will have more information on this incident as it becomes available from the Sheriff's Department.

  • There is a lot of theft and break-ins going on everywhere! Its time to take advantage of the 2nd. ammendment and this crap will stop! That will also save a lot of man-hours in law enforcement exspenses! I ALWAYS enter our house ahead of my wife or kids!(Not that they also aren't prepared) This is what being FREE and having the right to protect yourself is all about. Its just too bad that self protection isn't politically correct any more. I certainly hope the injuries weren't serious and recoverey is quick! I hope they HAMMER THIS GUY for the B& E. Any police officer will tell you,"WHEN SECONDS COUNT,WE'LL BE THERE IN JUST A MINUTE"!!

  • Seen a truck window sticker that said "9mm is faster than 911" right next to a US Marines sticker! Action speaks louder than words these days....
