Clinton Twp. residents advised of survey for fire truck grant
The Putnam County Commissioners, on behalf of the Walnut Creek Fire Protection District, are attempting to qualify for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, and are currently seeking grant funding for the purchase of a new fire truck to serve the Clinton Township area.
The CDBG Program is a federally funded grant program intended to benefit residents through various community development public assistance projects, such as the purchase of fire trucks and improvements to wastewater, water, roads and bridges.
In order for the county to receive federally funded grant dollars, a special income survey must be completed.
If you receive an income survey in the mail from the West Central Indiana Economic Development District, this means you have been randomly selected to participate in this important process.
It is extremely vital that the survey be completed fully and returned in the self-addressed stamped envelope as soon as possible, officials stress.
Persons may contact grant administrator Kristy Jerrell, 812-238-1561, with any questions regarding the project to purchase a new fire truck or the income survey.
"Your cooperation concerning this matter is greatly appreciated," Jerrell said.
