Anna B. Dean, 90, Cloverdale, passed away on February 8, 2012 at the Putnam County Hospital.

She was born on February 10, 1921 in Marion County and was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Mudd) Englert.

She was married to Paul Ervin Dean on May 10, 1940 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1980.

She was a member of the Millgrove United Methodist Church, O.E.S. No. 369, Cloverdale, and was a graduate of Washington High School, Indianapolis.

Anna worked at Linkbelt during World War II and later she was a cook for the ATO fraternity at DePauw University. She loved to play bingo. Visiting with family was very important to her.

She is survived by her children, Paula Watkins and husband Larry of North Salem, Debbie Morris and husband Gary of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kenneth W. Dean and wife Carolyn of Cloverdale, John Dean of Elwood, James A. Dean and wife Jackie of Cloverdale; sisters Hazel Corwin and Beulah Jumpp, both of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Eastern Star Memorial Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hudson Hill Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Paul Dean; her sisters Opal Rose, Minnie Miesel and Vet Harlan; and her brother Edward Englert.
