Robert Lee Creech, 51, of Clayton, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012.

Robert was born to Robert F. and Mildred Faye (Ridener) Creech on March 29, 1960 in Richmond, Ky.

He married Dee (Hughes) Creech on Oct. 16, 1999.

He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life.

Robert was a truck driver for several companies over a 30-year span, retiring in 2009 from RL Carter.

Robert was a member of Way of the Cross Church in Martinsville.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dee (Hughes) Creech of Clayton; two sons, Robert A. Creech and Samuel A. Creech, both of Fortville; a daughter, Shelby Smith of Clayton; two stepsons, Matthew Featherston of Indianapolis, and Jamie (Angela) Featherston of Greencastle; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ron (Elaine) and Ernie (Mindy) Creech of Mooresville; a nephew, Brad Creech of Mooresville; and special friends Lashondra and People First Hospice.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Mildred Faye (Ridener) Creech, and a nephew, Ronald Ray Creech Jr.

Calling for Robert will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 and 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.

Buddy Creech and Paul Scott will officiate the 11 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Jones Family Mortuary.

Robert will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
