The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that Interstate 70 will again have lane restrictions beginning Monday, Feb. 27 in the eastbound lanes between U.S. 231 and just east of State Road 267.

The eastbound I-70 lane restrictions are expected to be completed by Sunday, March 4, weather permitting.

Lane restrictions will move into the westbound lanes of I-70 on Monday, March 5, and last for one week.

Milestone Contractors LP will restrict one lane of the interstate in the area they will be installing underdrains.

Milestone was awarded the $27.9 million patch and rehabilitation project that extends from State Road 59 to just east of SR 267.

The patching portion of this project was completed in early December of last year and will finish up this year with the installation of the underdrains, permanent pavement markings and grass seeding to be finished by May 18.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.IN.gov.
