Peace Lutheran School celebrates National Lutheran Schools Week

Saturday, March 3, 2012

Peace Lutheran School, Greencastle, will be celebrating National Lutheran Schools week March 4-10.

This year's theme, "Securing Each Child's Future -- Equipped," is based on 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

The week will begin with a School Family Worship Service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. The children will be singing "Father Abraham" following the children's sermon. During the offering the primary students will be playing the tone chimes while singing "Let Us Ever Walk With Jesus."

Each day during the week we have a special theme:

Monday -- School Spirit Day -- All staff and students wear their purple Peace Lutheran shirts

Tuesday -- Mix-Match-Opposite-Wacky Dress Day

Wednesday -- Elegant Dress Day with Elegant lunch -- table cloths and punch cups

Thursday -- Crazy Hair and Hat Day

Friday -- Pajama and Pancake Day -- everyone wears their pajamas to school

The week will end with an open house on Saturday, March 10, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Enrollment for 2012-2013 begins next week. There is a $10 discount on the enrollment fee until the end of Saturday's open house. Please drop by to see us March 10.
