Rokita to speak to Defenders of Liberty

Indiana 4th District U.S. Congressman Todd Rokita will be the featured speaker Monday, March 12 at the Greencastle Defenders of Liberty meeting.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Dixie Chopper Business Center at the Putnam County Airport, 102 Ballard Lane, Greencastle.

Rep. Rokita will speak about what is happening in Washington, D.C., as well as the upcoming primary elections and pending legislation.

The 42-year-old Rokita was elected to Congress in 2010 and will begin representing Putnam County in 2013. Prior to his election to Congress, Rokita served as Indiana's secretary of state.

All area residents are invited to attend Monday's meeting as well as all monthly meetings of the organization.
