PCF prison staff honors memory of Judge Gray

To the Editor:

Superintendent Stanley Knight and Putnamville Correctional Facility staff extend their condolences to the family of retired Judge Sally Gray.

Judge Gray, who passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, was a member of the Putnamville Correctional Facility's Community Advisory Board from May 2008 to October 2010.

During her appointment to the committee, Judge Gray made significant contributions to the facility by arranging offender art classes, instructed by local artist Bill Lorton, and organizing annual displays of offender art at the Putnam County Museum.

Her judicial experience and knowledge was an invaluable asset to staff and fellow board members.
