Milus 'Hap' Heavin

Milus "Hap" Heavin, of Heritage Lake, went home to be with the Lord and loved ones on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at age 89.

He was born Jan. 22, 1923 in Putnam County. He was the son of Herman A. Heavin and Etta (Eggers) Heavin.

He married Doris E. Spillman on Dec. 31, 1945 in Greenfield, and she preceded him in death.

Hap was a World War II veteran, farmer and retired from the Postal Service.

He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge in Coatesville and was formerly on the Heritage Lake Board of Directors.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Frost of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; sons Michael Heavin and wife Delores, Coatesville, Donald Heavin, Martinsville, and Dennis Heavin and wife Diane, Carmel; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Halbert and sister Laura.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Richardson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stilesville Cemetery.
