Dancing with the Putnam County Stars is set for Saturday, April 14 at the DePauw University Indoor Tennis and Track Center. Local celebrities will go toe to toe and raise money for Putnam County Youth Development.

This is the final set of biographies of this year's stars.

Katherine Asbell

Katherine Asbell is the director of guidance for Greencastle Middle School. She and her husband Phillip have four children -- Alex, Donovan, Mary Katherine and Quinn.

Asbell, who enjoys writing, walking with friends and reading, said she is looking for a change to step outside her comfort zone and find an identity beyond "Mrs. Asbell, the counselor" and "Mom."

"I think this was one of my 'bucket list' things to do before I got too old," Asbell said.

She is a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, PEO and serves as hair stylist with the Putnam County Playhouse.

Dance Experience: Teacher at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in the 1980s; member of University Dance Team.

Steve Jones

Steve Jones is a residential and commercial realtor at Collins/Evans Real Estate in Greencastle. He is married to Kathy, has two daughters, Olivia Query and Emily Knuth, and three grandchildren, Beau, Eleanor and Charlie.

Jones enjoys old movies and old cars, and is participating to rekindle old rivalries.

He said has been pressured for a long time into being a contestant by Patti Harmless and looks forward to beating fellow competitor Chet Clodfelter in the process.

Jones is alumni adviser to Phi Delta Theta at DePauw, a board member at Opportunity Housing and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

Dance Experience: A little bit at Putnam County Playhouse, "Mostly weddings -- and a couple of funerals."
