Eagles drop 2nd game of double-header

MONROVIA -- The South Putnam baseball team lost a high-scoring affair with Monrovia Tuesday on game two of a double-header. The Eagles fell 17-11 to move to 2-8 on the season.

The Eagles logged 16 hits on the night. Aaron Parker recorded three hits, with Nick Scott, Rob Gibson, Cody Heller, Seth Hammond and Joe Waters tallying two hits each. Parker had a double, with Scott and Waters adding two RBI each.

With the game tied at five-all, Monrovia scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to move in front for good.

South Putnam will travel to Danville Friday at 5 p.m.
