A Novel Surprise

Wednesday, April 25, 2012
Monday was World Book Night, an annual celebration in which volunteers go out to their communities and pass out free, specially labeled books. Peggy Lilly, a worker at Area 30, was one of a number of Greencastle community members to take part. Lilly said she heard about the event in January and is excited to be a part of it. "I love to read," Lilly said. "I'm in the library all the time." Lilly was given 20 copies of "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini to hand out. She surprised parents at Big Walnut Sports Park. Lilly, right, is seen here handing a copy to Cynthia Boswell.
