Big Sister of the Year

Katherine Voskoboynik (right) was recently named the 2012 DePauw Big Sister of the Year. Katherine is a caring, consistent, positive and patient Big Sister. She has been matched for three years with her Little Sister Hayleemarie (left) in the school program at Cloverdale Elementary. Katherine and Hayleemarie enjoy doing a variety of activities together like trying to catch frogs in the pond, playing in the gym, doing homework, reading or playing board games. Hayleemarie especially enjoys creative activities so Katherine brings craft projects to work on together. Hayleemarie is always excited to see her Big Sister and thinks that Katherine is "nice, kind, sweet and the best sister ever." The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help children reach their potential through one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.
