Cloverdale defeat Cadets, Bruins

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale boys' track team defeated Cascade and Tri-West in a three-way meet Thursday. The Clovers won with a score of 67, followed by the Cadets with 54 and the Bruins with 37.

Cloverdale posted four individual wins on the night as well as capturing two relays.

Alex Law won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.53, while Jourdan Smith won the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 44.6. Wade Warren took first place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.14 and Joe Rumley scorched the competition in the 800-meter run, winning by nine seconds.

Cloverdale also won the 400 and 3,200-meter relay. The 400-meter relay posted a time of 46.44, while the 3,200-meter relay team won in 9:24.4.

The Clovers are back in action next Thursday at Owen Valley with White River Valley and Sullivan. The meet starts at 5 p.m.
