Inside Story

Wednesday, May 2, 2012
Renovation work on the interior of the old Prevo's store location on Washington Street, last occupied by Fine Print Bookstore and Castle Classics, commences as workmen from T & W Corp, Indianapolis, begin gutting the interior. The building will become the future home of a bookstore and Starbucks coffee shop as part of the Stellar Community Grant awarded to Greencastle.

Crews have discovered pieces of the building's past, such as a section of a painting on particle board.
Group leader Mark Smith (left) confers with another workman about how he wants to handle the double-door entry on the west end of the building in downtown Greencastle.

  • Like the small town of Greencastle really needs yet another BIG CORP biz to run all the small biz out again. Support your LOCAL small biz, keep the money in YOUR community, not in the pockets of BIG CORP CEO's!!!

  • I'm saddened to see that local contractors were not chosen to do the work.
