County Jail

Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* On Tuesday, May 1 at 5:05 p.m. Wayne Franklin Burke, 21, Poland, was arrested for probation violation.

At 10:20 p.m. Julie Ann Owens, 41, Bainbridge, was housed at the jail for operating while intoxicated and public intoxication.

* On Wednesday, May 2 at 6 a.m. Dulcie Wendolyn Hart, 30, Martinsville, was held at the jail for possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a syringe and possession of methamphetamine.

At 7:11 a.m. Kelsey Jo Walker, 22, Martinsville, was charged with possession of marijuana, two counts of firearms possession, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a syringe.

At 7:48 a.m. Daylin A. Jasper, 38, Morgantown, was booked in for possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe.

At 7:50 a.m. Louis Wampner, 33, Mooresville, was arrested for possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a syringe.

At 8:26 a.m. Gary L. Johnston, 45, Martinsville, was housed at the jail for possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe and possession of marijuana.

Sheriff's Department

On Tuesday, May 1 at 6:25 a.m. Travis Hall, 20, Greencastle, was traveling southeast on County Road 175 West just northeast of County Road 100 East in a 2002 Saturn LS1.

He swerved to miss a deer as he rounded a curve and left the southwest side of the road, hitting a tree.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.
