GMS boys' track wins tri-meet

The Greencastle Middle School boys' track team defeated Owen Valley and Clay City Wednesday. The Tiger Cubs won with a total of 78, followed by Owen Valley with 55 and Clay City with seven.

Greencastle picked up seven individual wins and one relay win on the night.

Cole Edgar and Ben Gellman won two events each. Edgar won the discus with a distance of 104-7 and the shot put with a toss of 37-11. Gellman took the top spot in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:45 and the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.18.

Jacob Lewis won the 2,400-meter run with a time of 9:15 and Tanner Skarff won the long jump with a distance of 17-3.25. The 1,600-meter relay also won with a time of 4:22.
