Clovers start week with two big wins

CLOVERDALE -- Cloverdale softball continued its strong play recording it's 12th and 13th wins of the season. On Monday they defeated Covenant Christian 15-0. They defeated Linton-Stockton 7-0 Tuesday.

In Tuesday's contest, Paige Gutierrez pitched a complete game shutout, allowing four hits, while striking out nine. She added two home runs at the plate and three RBI.

Bradanne Toney was 2-for-4 with two doubles, with Kara Knapp adding a double. Brianna Hoff was 3-for-4 with an RBI, with Jess Winders and Beka Jordan adding a hit each.

On Monday, Kat Raisor took the mound and picked up the win allowing one hit and striking out four.

Toney and Knapp both recorded a home run and a double with four RBI against the Warriors. Raisor added a double and two RBI, with Hoff recording three RBI. Gutierrez, Heather Goss, Adri Patterson, Justeena Wellington and Lyndsey Robson contributing hits in the win.
